Cats Meow Quilt Class

Yesterday afternoon I taught the Cats Meow Quilt at A Quilting Place/Stashbusters.  Here's the quilt:

We had a great time learning Marci Baker's strip piecing technique to make the tumbling blocks.

And Shirley stayed later to assemble her tumbling blocks- they look great!  I love the fabrics she chose!

I love this technique & love teaching it even more.  My favorite part is when we layout the blocks & people see the 3-D effect for the first time! 

Next month we'll be taking this technique one step further & will make a floating tumbling block quilt!  Those details will be out shortly!
