AQS, Des Moines, 2011!

Last week was AQS, Des Moines!

5 whole days of quilts, classes & shopping- & I got to attend with two of my quilting buddies!

The quilt shows are my favorite part of these events- I get tons of ideas and inspiration & afterwards I can't wait to get home to start quilting again!


Here are some of my favorite quilts from the show. (I'll post about the great classes I took later in the week)
 
Lunacy on a Starry Night by Annette Hendricks:

 Montana Grizzly by Karen Burton: (Her thread art is so amazing that in real life this bear actually looks fuzzy!)

 Spring Romance by Deborah Kemball: (This is HAND quilted!  And hand appliqued, and hand trapunto-ed, and hand embroidered......)

 An Infinity of Nine-Patches by Anabeth Dollins: (The nerd in my loves where she went with this!)



Those are just a few quilts, I don't want to overwhelm you, so I'll post a few everyday until I get through them all!
